Wooden Stacking Toy, Sri Lanka

This is a simple toy made in Sri Lanka, made from unpainted wood. The game is to sort and stack the geometrical shapes on to the appropriate wooden stake according to the number of holes. There are three of each shape: circle, rectangle, triangle, square and pentagon.

This is an educational toy to teach young children to identify shapes, count from one to five, and to develop co-ordination.
